The College, established in December 1972, lies in the heart of central Marche, the hometown of the Italian Jesuit priest, Matteo Ricci, one of the founding figures of the Jesuit China Mission. The main campus sets around the Buonaccorsi Castle, an epitome of the classic Renaissance building, which provides a daily inspiration for the students there. The college currently enrolls about 1000 students, including 60 Chinese students. The college has a staff of 80 people and another 80 guest lecturers. Some of the graduates dedicate to teaching, and the others are employed by local business such as commercial design or media. Their works have earned a good reputation.
